This piece is about Britain, difference, perceptions, questions around belonging and displacement of identity. The installation expresses a personal search for inner sanctuary and a place with a sense of home. As a young woman born in England. I wanted to explore, in this piece, questions around perception, reality and lived experience. The audio is a series of statements and questions looking at how we define and perceive one another even before we get to speak.
